United States: Hundreds of “Hands Off” demonstrations will take place across the country on Saturday, April 5, and they seek to warn President Donald Trump about his increasingly controversial advisor, Elon Musk. 

Multiple protests plan to take place across Massachusetts, starting from Boston Common, where the demonstrations will gather at the Parkman Bandstand at 11 a.m. 

About Hands Off protest 

As per the statement of the national organizers, “Hands Off” is a “national day of action” that would bring members of Congress, community leaders, and “everyday people” together to “call on Trump and Elon Musk to take their hands off the programs that the middle class and working families rely on,” CBS News reported. 

“With Trump and congressional Republicans doubling down on their agenda to gut essential services, everyday Americans are sending a clear message: Take your hands off our healthcare, our Social Security, our civil rights, our freedom, and our education,” organizers stated. 

The Department of Government Efficiency under Elon Musk (DOGE) has dismissed several hundred thousand government employees since Trump became president in January 2017. 

The administration has given Musk a special government employment designation, although administrators have not specified the length of his service period. 

The president has announced his attendance for a MAGA Inc. Candlelight Dinner scheduled this Friday night at his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. 

Boston Leads the Charge 

The planned protests have not received any remark from him. The Boston protest will start with a march that proceeds to City Hall Plaza for a following rally. 

The long roster of speakers at the gathering includes Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey. 

The scheduled commencement of speeches falls at 12:30 p.m.Instructions from the organizers indicate that American punk rock band Dropkick Murphys will perform a special acoustic session. 

The scheduled duration of the event spans from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m.
