United States: White House and Vice President Kamala Harris blame Donald Trump for his assaults on the federal reaction to Helene and Milton, the dreadful hurricanes, and propose he stands to gain political advantage from the destructive storms unfathomably.

At a town hall event sponsored by Univision held in Las Vegas, Harris had been questioned about the criticism that federal government officials mishandled disaster management.

She answered, “In this crisis — like in so many issues that affect the people of our country — I think it so important that leadership recognizes the dignity” to which people are entitled, AP news reported.

“I have to stress that this is not a time for people to play politics,” as she continued.

Those comments came after the former president delivered a speech at the Detroit Economic Club sympathizing with those affected by Hurricanes Helene and, particularly, Milton, which made the Florida landfall on Wednesday night.

Trump criticized the Biden administration

However, Trump also criticized the response of the Biden administration, especially in North Carolina after Helene.

Trump said, “They’ve let those people suffer unjustly.”

Harris was who virtually attended a briefing held in the White House Situation Room with Joe Biden on the emergency measures following Milton.

Biden also took a dig at Trump and his aides in later interactions with the reporters, arguing that he has been demoralizing political supporters by peddling fake news when it comes to federal aid to the victims.

Biden said, “They’re being so damn un-American with the way they’re talking about this stuff,” while directing to Trump, “Get a life, man. Help these people.”

However, Trump and Harris are both touring essential battleground states tactfully, aiming to extend support with vote base people who could tilt a tight election that both camps predict will be particularly close, AP News reported.

Trump also added, “Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she’s your president,” and, “You’re going to have a mess on your hands.”

However, Harris responded that Trump “yet again had trashed another great American city when he was in Detroit, which is just a further piece of evidence on a very long list of why he is unfit to be president of the United States.”
