United States: The GOP vice-presidential nominee, JD Vance, agreed with former President Donald J. Trump on Sunday, claiming that some of his Democratic rivals growing in the United States posed a greater menace than foreign rivals.

Questioned on NBC if he stood with Mr. Trump’s statements that Democrats such as Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi posed more threats than foes like Russia and China, Mr. Vance affirmed his partner.
According to him, “What he said, and I do agree with this, what he said is that the biggest threat we have in our country, it’s not a foreign adversary, because we can handle these guys,” the New York Times reported.
“We can handle foreign conflicts. We can’t handle it. Under Nancy Pelosi’s long life in public leadership, the United States has gone from the pre-eminent industrial power of the world to second next to China. That fundamentally belongs on Nancy Pelosi’s shoulders,” Pelosi added.

What more did Mr. Vance say?
Mr. Vance, who was on Sunday morning news program on CBS News, CNN, and NBC News, tried to come to Mr. Trump’s defense following the recent threats made by several former officials of the Trump administration that the former President is a danger to democracy.
Last week, John F. Kelly, the former Marine general who served as Mr. Trump’s chief of staff for more than a year and a half, said on cable television that the President, in effect, had praised Hitler and Hitler’s generals and therefore met the definition of a fascist.
Mr. Vance wanted to depict the ex-Trump administration critics as militarists, or as card-carrying members of the fired clique.
And he minimized the impact of Russia interfering in the American elections through disinformation, claiming that it is bad but cannot be helped, the New York Times reported.
In a CNN interview, the man labeled Mr. Vance probed further into the threats that Mr. Trump has been making to his political foes. Those threats include labeling his political rivals as an “enemy from within,” pledging to imprison people he believes have “fraud” the election, as he wrongly accused Democrats and election workers of doing in 2020, and amplifying calls on social media for specific Democrats and anti-Trumper Republicans to be jailed or tried by military tribunal.
