United States: Ex-president Trump and his followers have been cautious and fearful after the second assassination attempt on the former’s life.
Trump jokingly mentioned while addressing a crown on Tuesday night, “It’s a dangerous business, however, being president. It’s a little bit dangerous,” and “This is a dangerous business, and we have to keep it safe.”
A delighted and concerned rally greeted Trump back into campaigning following an alleged gunman, who was captured on Sunday after constructing an elevated perch complete with a sniper rifle near the former president’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.
According to Doug Altman, a 76-year-old campaign volunteer, “He’s gotta continue to get out and talk to the people; you’re not going to stop him; that’s the way he is,” the USA Today reported.

“I don’t want anything to happen to my president, and we got to get him through the next 50 days and get him in office,” he added.
Trump is back in his classic form
In the rally, this time, Trump was in classic form after being attacked by gunmen two times within one month; he told the excited swing state voters that seeking the presidency was more hazardous than race car driving or bull riding.
The event, a town hall in name only, was the 78-year-old’s first event since Secret Service agents opened fire on a man hiding in bushes near his West Palm Beach golf course. The man was later arrested. Trump was unharmed.
The former president, who is virtually neck to neck with Vice President Kamala Harris in national as well as swing state polls, including the important state of Michigan, made it evident the two assassination attempts will be a part of his campaign trail, saying that they prove that he has the mettle for the presidency.
According to Trump, “You know, only consequential presidents get shot at,” said jokingly, as USA Today reported.
He gave long answers to softball questions from the moderator, his former White House press secretary, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and three audience members, Trump stuck to time-worn themes.
He ranted against the administration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris regarding the economy, inflation, and cross-border illegals.
On behalf of Sanders, Trump painted a picture of ‘Day One’ that involved the closing of the border and approving more energy projects. He did not use the phrase − from an interview with ‘Fox News’ host Sean Hannity in 2023 − that being said, he wants to be a “dictator” on the first day of the presidency.
Trump continued making fun of his opponent’s plan but at the same time pushing his own plan. At one point, he cracked up over the climate change issues, which he claimed are less dangerous than nuclear weapons, and what is more, global warming will mean more shoreline in Michigan for people.
