United States: As reported, former President Trump claimed that he would establish a national guard for the Space Force and build an “Iron Dome” in the US while sharing his military proposals on Monday.

On Monday, Trump addressed the National Guard Association of the US conference in Detroit, where he also talked about the Space Force, which is the sixth branch of the US military.

It was formed in the year 2019 with the main aim of guarding assets in the space of the United States against threats that emanate from Russia and China.

According to him, “One of my proudest achievements in my first term was to create Space Force, the first new branch of the armed forces in over 70 years; it’s a big deal,” as the Hill reported.

“Now that Space Force is up and running, I agree with your leadership — you want this very badly — but I agree that the time has come to create a Space National Guard as the primary combat reserve of the U.S. Space Force,” he continued.

This also elicited applause from the audience, and Trump appreciated it.

What more has Trump stated?

Trump said, “So as president, I will sign historic legislation creating a Space National Guard,” and, “So we’re going to do that. Space Force has been very important, very, very important.”

However, he also argued that the United States was getting “destroyed” in the realm of space before the creation of the military branch.

While being thankful for its creation, he said that the country is now “leading with all of the major metrics in space.”

It follows the Biden administration in April, which sought to include Air National Guard service members in the Space Force.

In March, the Defense Department requested Congress to waive an existing law that requires the governor’s permission for alterations to National Guard units to enable hundreds of members to transfer to the Space Force.

The plan, which would have affected close to one thousand Air National Guard employees, was criticized by almost all the governors of the United States, as well as more than forty legislators. Discontent has left no solution for such a reserved service in the air.

The former president later promised to develop an antimissile defense like that of the Iron Dome air defense system in the state and the Diaspora, which is an air defense system designed for annihilating short-range rockets in the air above the state of Israel

According to Trump, “And we’re going to build a great Iron Dome for missile defense around our nation. Other countries have said Israel has it. You know, [former President] Ronald Reagan wanted this many years ago, but we didn’t have the technology at that point. But now we have the technology,” as the Hill reported.

Trump vowed several times to create an Iron Dome-style system, considering on the campaign trail over the past year, that he would initiate the building of “the greatest dome of them all” due to “a lot of hostile people out there.”
