United States: In a recent dialogue with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, ex-President Donald Trump voiced reluctance towards unconditionally embracing the results of the imminent 2024 presidential election.

“I shall willingly acknowledge the outcomes if they are forthright. My stance on this remains unaltered,” expressed Trump during the discourse. “Should integrity be compromised, however, one must advocate for the nation’s rights,” according to CNN Politics.

This statement marks another instance where Trump endeavors to sow doubt regarding the integrity of the American electoral framework, particularly in scenarios where he faces potential defeat. Throughout the interview, he reiterated erroneous assertions of triumph in Wisconsin during the 2020 election, further questioning the forthcoming ballot’s legitimacy.

“Upon reviewing the revelations thus far, it is evident that I emerged victorious in the Wisconsin election,” affirmed Trump to the Journal Sentinel. “Similar victories were apparent in other regions as well.”

Contrary to Trump’s claims, President Joe Biden secured victory in Wisconsin in 2020, leading by approximately 21,000 votes—a triumph margin of roughly 0.6 percentage points.

While Trump indicated a readiness to voice concerns should the 2024 election lack transparency, he expressed optimism towards its integrity. “To suggest otherwise would be a disservice to the nation,” conveyed Trump to the Journal Sentinel. “Yet, I anticipate a fair election and foresee a potential resounding victory.”

Trump elaborated, “However, assuming honesty prevails, as we anticipate it will—significant alterations have transpired over recent years—I shall unequivocally acknowledge the outcomes.”

“I advocate for voters to exercise integrity in their ballots. The counting process should uphold honesty. We must deter instances where legislative channels are bypassed for personal gains,” emphasized Trump.

The Biden campaign swiftly rebuked Trump’s remarks, denouncing his pursuit of vengeance and retribution. “President Biden advocates for a love of country transcending electoral outcomes. Conversely, Trump’s pursuit of retribution dominates his agenda,” asserted the campaign in a statement, as per CNN.

Trump persistently alleges the 2020 election was fraudulent or “stolen” despite lacking evidence of widespread voter malpractice. Special counsel Jack Smith indicted the former president last year, leveling accusations of electoral manipulation. Trump refutes the allegations, pleading not guilty to the charges.

Throughout his political tenure, Trump consistently rejected electoral outcomes and evaded conceding defeat. On Super Tuesday, the results revealed that Ted Cruz finished in the second position in the Iowa caucus, which robbed Trump of the victory, and he thought his vote was unfairly given to his opponent. Moreover, Trump let slip a statement of election fraud and losing in the race against Hillary. He did not promise to concede the loss. However, the situation is unlikely to change, and the candidate will keep their position before the 2024 elections.

In collaboration with House Speaker Mike Johnson, the presumptive Republican nominee convened a news conference to highlight purported state initiatives and legal actions enabling non-citizen voting. Federal law presently prohibits non-citizens from participating in federal elections, with violators risking penalties and deportation, CNN Politics mentioned.

Trump, however, recurrently propagates false assertions, alleging Democratic desires to exploit undocumented migrants for electoral gains, instilling apprehension regarding immigration and election integrity ahead of the upcoming election.

Resuming campaign activities, Trump conducted rallies in Wisconsin and Michigan, pivotal battleground states he secured in 2016 but lost to Biden in 2020.
