United States: During its current eruption, lava from the most active volcano in Hawaii produced fountains that reached 700 feet in height on Thursday.
Kilauea began recurring volcanic activity by endlessly releasing magma from its Hawaii Volcanoes National Park summit caldera on Wednesday morning, as per US Geological Survey reports (USGS).

The boundary restrictions of the park area confirmed its function as a lava storage zone since lava movements stayed confined within park limits without endangering residential neighborhoods. The 28-hour-long 14th episode concluded in the afternoon of Thursday.
The USGS’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported that lava fountains reached heights of 600 feet as the seventh eruption period continued its flow during the final seven hours, CBS News reported.
After several hours, the webcam displayed intense red fountains or billowing smoke, which became all that viewers could see through the monitor.

Analysts from USGS used a webcam to track rocky debris that escaped near the edge of the volcano.
The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory took a remarkable picture of how the lava pond’s crustal plates formed whirlpool patterns through lava drainback.
The volcano started its ongoing eruption on December 23.
Kilauea has experienced more than thirteen interruptions that alternated between stopping and starting since its latest eruption on December 23.
The eruption cycles held durations that ranged from 13 hours up to eight days.
What more are the experts stating?
KGMB News reported in January that Kilauea staged an exceptional volcanic display through a 26-hour eruptive event in which live cameras broadcast captured steam and volcanic gas emissions as rain fell on the summit, CBS News reported.

The eruption condition at Kilauea was confirmed by scientists through analysis of intense lighting from the north vent.
Every volcanic eruption launched lava, which soared through the air from caldera vents, providing visitors to the park with mesmerizing views.
The sixth Kilauea summit eruption has been documented since 2020. The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park consists of two active world-class volcanoes, Kilauea and Mauna Loa.
Kilauea produced another eruption in June and another one in September of 2024.
